Kat graduated in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University in Newcastle and started her career with two years specialising in the rehabilitation of people with scoliosis and hyperkyphosis.
From there, she moved to the company which would become Halsa and served as their Head Physio for 10 years, recruiting and training the physio and sports therapy team to be 20 practitioners strong over 8 sites who worked closely alongside the chiropractors.
It was over this period that she fell in love with chiropractic and vitalistic philosophy which has gone on to influence her life greatly.
Kat then opened her own practice, Lake Therapy in Farnham, in February 2019 alongside her husband, Dan. Despite the interruptions of COVID, they have built a team of 7 physio and graduate sports therapy associates to serve the local community with physio and rehab services. The only reason they don’t currently have a Chiropractic input in-house is because vitalistic Chiropractors are like gold dust! Instead, they refer out and co-manage with a local chiropractor.
During lockdown Kat and Dan founded Global Rehab Online - a comprehensive rehab resource of yoga, Pilates and S&C classes which other clinics can use as their internal membership platform to aid their client's progress and add value to their membership.
Kat now manages the therapy team in her practice - alongside running scoliosis CPD courses, guest lecturing in scoliosis and business at a local university, making guest speaking appearances at conferences and clinic trainings, and providing 1:1 coaching to other therapists who are looking to grow their diaries.
